Now you can relive your finest Snapchat moments over and over again. Snapchat Memories is Snapchat’s way of giving users permanent access to the snaps and photos they want to keep. Snaps disappear within seconds, or if they’re saved as Stories, up to 24 hours.īut all that changed one summer when Snapchat rolled out Memories. That’s because, as we all know, Snapchat videos are only temporary, allowing you a mere fleeting glimpse into the moments of your and your friends’ lives. It would be a great way to indulge in some group nostalgia.īut sharing old video and photo memories captured on Snapchat has never been possible. You’d all laugh at the foolish things you did or marvel that you were ever that young. If Ghost Mode is on, only you can see your Bitmoji on the Snap Map.Imagine your older self reliving the good old days by sharing Snapchat videos with all your old buddies. If you want to keep your location private, turn on Ghost Mode in settings. Privacy heads-up: If a user does not turn on “Ghost Mode,” their friends can see the user’s avatar marking their location on the Snap Map. Scroll and tap around to explore Snaps taken at popular events, theme parks, and even natural disasters. The Snap Map shows a heat map of public Our Story snaps in real time. Snap Map: Tap the magnifying glass on the search bar, or pinch inward (like you’re zooming out) to view the Snap Map.
To remove a Snap you’ve submitted to Our Story, go to your Settings, scroll down to “Our Story Snaps,” and delete the Snap. If you submit a Snap to Our Story, it can be viewable for longer than the disappearing Snap period.
If you choose to add your Snap to “Our Story,” your username will be hidden, and the Snap can appear in search results from the Discover page. Our Story: Our Story is Snapchat’s way of crowdsourcing Snaps taken at an event, like a concert, and presenting it in a single Story that can be viewed by anyone.
